Tour code: OW-NVN-03 Duration: 4 days, 3 nights Destinations: Ha Noi - Lao Cai - Sapa
Hanoi - Lao Cai
At 9:30 pm we will take the night train to Lao Cai, a city located at the border to China.
Lao Cai - Sapa (B,L,D)
Arrival in Lao Cai at around 5:30 am. We will have a one-hour bus drive to Sapa, a hill station, which was founded in 1922. It is located in a beautiful valley close to the Chinese border.
This stunning scenery is frequently shrouded in mist and home to diverse hill tribe communities. After check-in to the hotel and a breakfast we will walk to the colorful market where we can see H'mong minority people and Dao minority people selling regional products.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we enjoy a pleasant walk to Cat Cat village (approx. 3 hours), which is home to the Black H'mong tribe. We will visit an H'mong family to see their culture and learn about their history. We continue to the Cat Cat Waterfall surrounded by stunning mountain scenery before we walk up hill back to the town.
Overnight in Sapa
After the breakfast we will trek down hill to Lao Chai, a village of the Black H'mong minority. We experience one of the most spectacular treks in Vietnam, with buffalo paths up and down hill. On the way we will enjoy stunning views of mountains and valleys.
In Lao Chai we come to see the village's catholic church and have a chat with the Black H'mong people before we continue trekking to Ta Van, a village of the Dzay ethnic minority. We visit a Dzay family and have a picnic lunch in their house, before we walk up to the main road to take a jeep back to Sapa.
Overnight in Sapa
We leave Sapa by bus early in the morning at 6 am to Hanoi.
On the way we will pass beautiful landscapes and sceneries and have some photo stops before we reach Hanoi in the late afternoon, at around 5 pm.
